Center for Excellence in Engineering Education Projects
Transforming Engineering Programs in Order to Improve Retention and Graduation Rates
University of Texas System
This is a collaborative three-year project between the Colleges of Engineering, Sciences, Business, and Education and Human Development at UTSA (September 1, 2009—August 31, 2012). This project uses proven pedagogical techniques in teaching mathematics to the engineering students that should result in the most effective student learning (e.g., increase success rates, course completion rates, greater retention rates, increase responsiveness to diverse learning styles). Engineering applications, real time student learning assessment and use of technology will be part of mathematical curriculum for engineering students. This grant supports funds for graduate students.
